Getting a scholarship is a lot of young sports people’s ideal dream, and I agree. In fact I actually recommend my goalkeeper students to get goalkeeper scholarship, rather than become a professional goalkeeper.
Ok if it’s a premiership club, I recommend my goalkeeper students to sign for this professional soccer club but ifs lower than premiership standard, I recommend for them to get their education at a university throughout the USA.
I think if a goalkeeper can get their education and get their degrees at the age of 22,23, at this age, (if they have talent) they can STILL become professional. So this can really set up a Gk for life if they spend a few years at a top university and coming out with qualifications, then become a professional. This is what I recommend my goalkeepers to do!
