Steve played Goalkeeper for four
years at the collegiate level
including:
California State University, San
Bernardino – Western conference
Champions and NCAA Semifinalist
Cerritos College – South Coast
Conference Champions, Selected
All League
He
also played for the American
Soccer League (club), Premier
Division becoming league
champions (undefeated) for two
consecutive years.
Earlier, Steve was keeper for
Los Alamitos H.S., receiving the
Coaches Award, setting a record
for most penalty kick saves in
one game, and was the first
person to play four years of
soccer at Los Alamitos H.S.
As
a coach, Steve has worked as an
Assistant Coach at Cypress
College for five seasons and has
coached youth teams as well as
summer camps.
Currently Steve is the Varsity
Head Coach
at Beckman High School in
Irvine.
Steve has teamed up
with J4K to be able to offer
that “Specialist touch” to local
students of the game. Now Steve
brings over 30 years of
playing/coaching experience to
the table, using the training
program developed with the help
of 5 international keepers.
In
addition to soccer keeper
coaching, Steve is also a Red
Cross Certified Instructor,
CPR/First Aid/AED and has been
background checked by Live Scan.
Steve currently holds a USSF D
License. |
