Chris Rossington: has been successfully coaching goalkeepers for seven years now and over this period has helped keepers and players get to play for Professional Football Academies (Notts County, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United), Semi-Professional clubs, and England women squads.. Chris started coaching at a young age and at 16 he was brought in as Head of Goalkeeping for the Notts County Girls Centre of Excellence, where he spent 3 successful years until moving into management with Nottingham Forest Ladies, where he became Assistant manager for the reserve team. In his second year he became manager of the under 16's where his team finished 2nd in the league and runners up in the cup final. His third year in charge saw his team win the league and cup double. Chris then went to further his career by signing for Leeds United Ladies as head of goalkeeping in December, where he enjoyed a great season finishing 6th in the league and also making the Women's F.A. Cup Final in May where they were beaten by Arsenal. Chris has also been involved with South Nottingham College as head of goalkeeping for the past 6 years working with their goalkeepers, some of whom have gone onto play professional. He has also worked locally with Radcliffe Olympic, East Leake Athletic and Keyworth Town where he has played and coached. Chris is a level 2 F.A. Qualified coach with a view to start his UEFA B in the very near future. |
