Dear Fellow potential soccer player

Most youngsters dream of becoming the next David Beckham and to grace the soccer field in front of thousands and thousands of people. 

How do I know? 

Because I was one of these youngsters!

Fortunately for me, I achieved this dream and became a professional soccer player  (Goalkeeper) for ten seasons. However becoming a professional soccer player is not as easy as people think!

It took me FOUR years of consistently contacting professional soccer organisations, using EVERY correspondence I could think off before I got my chance.

Eventually I achieved my dream signing for Everton Football Club who are one of the biggest soccer clubs in the world…. And the result: I was able to live my dream of playing in front of thousands of people every week over a ten-year period.

However for 99% of young hopefuls, they will unfortunately never realise this dream because they make the mistake and WAIT for the soccer clubs to contact them, rather than APPROACHING soccer clubs to sell their skills and talents.

Now if you are a parent or player who think the only way to get picked by a professional soccer club, is to be scouted while playing for your local team, well I am afraid to say that you are very much mistaken.

Do not get me wrong, this CAN happen. But generally it is only the chosen few who get scouted while playing for their local team. For the majority of professional soccer players, they had to work incredibly hard to be even noticed by soccer clubs!

And this means, contacting soccer clubs ASKING them to assess you.

Unfortunately most players wait for their chosen professional club to approach them.

For these guys, the chances of becoming a professional soccer player are very slim!

As a youngster, it took me about four years to figure out the ways into professional soccer clubs before I achieved my dream.  And since coming out of professional soccer I have coached over 5000 students in my own coaching business (www.just4keepers.com), and the most common question I get asked is…
